About

The Western Pennsylvania Golf Association is the steward of amateur golf in western Pennsylvania; an Association of Member Clubs and their individual members working together for the good of the game. The Association was founded by five Pittsburgh area clubs in 1899 and is one of the oldest amateur golf associations in the country.

The Association’s primary missions are Championship, Handicapping, and Member Services. It also administers the WPGA Scholarship Fund to provide tuition assistance to employees of Member Clubs. Educational programs are offered every year to our growing membership in a variety of areas and formats.

These pages are an interaction with the regional golf community regarding the Rules of Golf.
